Energy consumption can be cut by making our buildings as efficient as possible, but people play a part too! That's why Atuttiarniq includes training and information to build technical skills related to energy management and increase awareness of the importance of energy conservation. Ultimately, we want our government buildings to be role models for energy conservation both technologically and operationally.
New equipment, systems and processes designed to achieve energy savings can necessitate training the Operators who’ll use these systems on a daily basis. Training solutions are designed from the ground-up to meet the unique skills-development opportunities and goals every building operator has.
How we use our buildings for day-to-day work, visits, and class time affects their energy performance, which in turn affects the carbon emissions they generate. Energy Awareness outreach is underway in our government buildings to give primary building occupants the knowledge and information that can minimize their building’s environmental footprint.
